Hi! My name is Cheyenna, and I’m a native Dutch speaker with a passion for languages and cultural exchange. I’ve lived in the United States, Australia, and South Korea, which has shaped my international perspective.
I speak English fluently and I’m currently studying Korean, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I recently obtained my TEFL certificate, which supports my approach to effective and student-centred teaching.
I enjoy reading, studying Korean, going for long walks, and listening to music. Most of all, I love connecting with people and helping them feel confident when speaking Dutch or English.지도 경험
As a language learner myself, I know how intimidating it can be to speak a foreign language. That’s why I create a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging environment where you can practise Dutch or English with confidence.
I focus strongly on helping students feel comfortable speaking, even if they make mistakes. My lessons are student-centred, and I adapt my teaching style to your goals, interests, and personality. Whether you prefer gentle guidance or clear explanations, I adjust the lesson to what works best for you.

I teach both Dutch and English, with a strong focus on conversation and confidence-building. My lessons help you speak more naturally and comfortably in real-life situations, whether you are learning Dutch or improving your English.
In conversational lessons, we practise speaking through everyday topics, current events, articles, pictures, or your personal interests. I provide gentle corrections and practical feedback to help you improve pronunciation, vocabulary, and sentence structure without breaking the flow of conversation.

Thank you Cheyenna for a very pleasant trial leeson. Excellent clear pronunciation and very patient. Although I was quite nervous and struggling at times, Cheyenna was patient and extremely supportive. Highly recommended.

Cheyenna was super nice and well-prepared. There was a technical issue with the italki classroom, but she immediately sent a link for Zoom and we could continue the trial lesson. I am an intermediate learner in Dutch, and I loved that she just kept talking quickly with me instead of falling into a slow teacher voice, even though I was missing some words to speak fluently.

I’m currently taking Dutch lessons with Cheyenna, and she is a very good teacher. As a beginner, I already know many words, and she helps me use them in a correct and natural way. She is a kind and supportive tutor, and after every lesson she provides me with notes so I can review and study afterwards. Dank je wel :)

I had a wonderful conversation practice with Cheyenna. She was interactive and fun to talk to. We were able to chat about a few subjects and she corrected me and was patient with me when I struggled. Tot de volgende keer!
