My name is Ivan and I'm from Bulgaria. Currently I'm a PhD student in Bulgarian Literature. During my studies at university I had the opportunity to live for a few months in Italy and Spain, thanks to the Erasmus+ programme. Besides the chance to get to know the local culture and way of life, I started to study the local languages in more depth. This helped me to develop strategies for learning a foreign language that I would like to share.
지도 경험
As a PhD student in Bulgarian literature, I am interested in Bulgarian literature and cinema from the period of Socialism (1944-1989) and I believe that these topics would help my students not only in learning the language itself, but also in getting to know Bulgaria, its history and culture. I am patient and consistent in my work so it would be a pleasure to teach Bulgarian language even to complete beginners.
내 강의 및 지도 스타일
My teaching practices include active communication, discussing and translating literary texts and parts of Bulgarian movies together, but also clarifying grammar rules and structures necessary for entering the language. I offer tuition not only in English, but also in Italian and Spanish, depending on the student's preference.

I've had 5 lessons so far with Ivan and I'm very satisfied! He provides me with interesting materials and is an interesting conversation partner, and I'm happy to practise my speaking efficiently and also learning a lot about the Bulgarian culture and life at the same time through the discussions and materials :)

Ivan is knowledgable, patient, and enthusiastic about teaching. I like that Ivan corrects my pronunciation, grammar, and word choice. I'm grateful that Ivan is willing to introduce Bulgarian poetry and help me read and interpret it. Thank you for teaching, Ivan!
