Hi there! I'm Bernie! I'm a naturally curious and creative person with a love for (creative) storytelling. Whether it's through theatre, film, or diving into spontaneous conversations, I’m always drawn to authentic human connection. My background in improv and performance fuels my passion for creativity, comedy, and quick thinking. I love making people laugh, asking good questions, and finding meaning in the everyday.
I’ve always been fascinated by languages and journalism — two powerful tools for understanding the world and the people in it. Traveling plays a big role in my life too; I find inspiration in new cultures, unfamiliar streets, and the unexpected moments in life!지도 경험
I currently have two happy years of full-time in-class teaching experience. I was teaching classes in the biggest language centre of my city, connected to the university and the government. Before that, I also did several teaching internships in high schools, alongside my Master's degree in teaching.
My lessons are relaxed, fun, and completely tailored to your goals and pace. Want to improve your conversation skills, grammar, or pronunciation? We’ll focus on what you need most. I am always happy when I can help my students make their interactions more authentic and natural, so that they feel secure in the language in every situation. As a teacher, my approach is rooted in interaction, spontaneity, and realism. With a passion for and background in improv acting, I bring a dynamic and engaging energy to every class, using real-life situations and conversational scenarios to make the language come alive. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to use it, not just study it. I focus on creating a fun, supportive environment where students feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and thinking on their feet.
Whether we’re simulating a café order, learning how to respond to Dutch e-mails, or navigating a travel mishap, my goal is to give learners practical tools they can apply immediately.내 수업 자료
