A Certified Korean Teacher / Teaching Korean Online since 2017 / Recommendations Letter for GKS I am a professional Korean teacher. I have been teaching on italki since 2017, but I first started teaching Korean in 2011. I was in an exchange program at the university in Tanzania. I helped some children speak and write in Korean at Hangeul school. It was a fresh experience for me and I had a great time with them. After that, I traveled to Southeast Asia where I met some foreigners who were interested in Korean culture, especially K-pop and K-dramas. While talking with them, I found out people feel happy to have a conversation in a foreign language with a native speaker. Those experiences made me think teaching Korean as a professional job might be one of the wonderful things I can do.

Friendly, easy going teacher with over 5 years of experience I believe having confidence and pushing yourself to speak is one of the best ways to improve your language skills. Don't be ashamed or embarrassed to try different things and ask me as many questions as you want that you are not really sure about. I want to be a teacher who you can think of as a friend and just chat about your day and your thoughts. That way you can learn about phrases or words you might actually use when you are in a conversation with another person.
