- What I try to do is out loud say simple descriptive sentences anytime I notice something usual. For example, when I'm in the shower, if the water is colder or hotter than expected, I say out loud, "Al-ma harr" or "Al-ma bared" "The water (is) hot/cold" in Arabic. I try to do that with similar things that involve any word I know. Describing, even if only to yourself, the world around you is a great way to think directly in a language rather than translate in your head.
