Pablo is a very competent and confident speaker. His daily commitment to the retention of his English level is demonstrated by a well earned ease when conversing. I would just recommend exploring the methods suggested in our class to help support his individual goals regarding the fine-tuning of his articulation.

    Un ajedrecista no es el profesor. No lo es porque ha arruinado el plan él solito, y encima, de la manera más imperdonable que hay. Rompió su propia regla de oro. ¡Joder! Y ahora, ¿qué tenemos? Tenemos a Nairobi ahogándose y muriendo en un charco de su propia sangre, y tenemos a Tokio y a Río volando un tanque del ejército. Y todo ello por su culpa. No me gusta ver al grupo pagando tan caro su error. Si alguno de ellos consiguiera escapar (algo poco probable), debería pegarle un tiro en el cráneo por haberlos jodido tanto.

    En España se usa bastante. Mucha gente a la pregunta, "¿Qué tal estás?", responde "voy tirando", para decir que una persona está saliendo adelante o aguantando a pesar de la adversidad. Es frecuente como respuesta protocolaria a la pregunta ¿Cómo estás?, dando a entender que las cosas no van muy bien pero que tampoco se puede quejar dentro de lo que cabe. Ejemplo: -¿Cómo vas, Rubén? - Voy Tirando [How are you getting on, Juan? -I'm getting by.] En inglés se podría traducir como: "I'm getting by" o "I'm ducking and diving".
