IELTS Preparation

In my conversation lessons we do a range of different things. 

1) Read short & interesting articles/latest news and discuss the topic. Students tend to improve their reading, speaking, vocabulary, general knowledge and confidence in this type of lesson.

2) Idiomatic Language/ Collocations/ Phrasal verbs/ Slang use. Here we can focus on specific phrases and expressions to help you sound more like a native English speaker. 

3) Choose a topic/topics to chat about. The student can decide how much feedback they want for this.

Conversational Practice

In this class, we aim to solve your pronunciation issues. We can look at a particular sound that you struggle with, an accent that you would like to get closer to or better intonation to make you sound more like a native-English speaker.

Since 2017, I have been working with students online to help them achieve their desired band scores. As each student is different, we worked together to solve their main issues which were stopping them from getting the score they needed for studying abroad or immigrating.

For GLS, I provided business and communication English classes to companies. This involved creating personalized lessons and feedback for each student.

In this position, I delivered basic online English classes for children ages 7-16 years old. This challenged my creativity and methods to help these students improve.

In this role, I delivered English lessons to students mostly aged 17-30 years old. We developed their academic English ability as well as their level of expression.

I taught all ages in this academy from 5- 16 years old. We followed a standard curriculum for their levels and aimed to improve their overall level of communication and understanding.

In this Academy, I corrected student essays; gave feedback; conducted simulated tests; and taught lessons regarding IELTS.

I taught English classes to students from ages 5-16 as well as some activity-based learning outside.

Here, I taught English to students from 7-9 years old. Our focus was on active communication and story-telling. We also did some immersive activities outside.

Here I prepared Colombian students for their IELTS exams.
