This course is designed to further improve learners' Chinese language proficiency, enabling them to communicate and express themselves effectively in a wider range of contexts.

I can effectively handle various simple communication tasks in straightforward social and transactional situations. I can engage in predictable and concrete exchanges involving personal information, daily activities, interests, preferences, and basic needs like food, shopping, travel, and lodging. I can ask different types of questions to gather information for basic needs, such as directions, prices, and services. I express my thoughts by using the language creatively, combining known elements and input from conversations. My speech mainly consists of strings of sentences, with pauses, reformulations, and self-corrections as I search for the right vocabulary and language forms. While my pronunciation, vocabulary, and syntax may be influenced by other languages I know, I can generally be understood. I can sometimes identify and correct miscommunications when they occur.
