This is a class for a student who is planning to go to Japan but has not studied Japanese at all, or just started learning Japanese. *You are welcome to join without knowing Japanese writing system (hiragana, katakana and kanji). Are you planning to go to Japan next year or anytime soon? But you don't know anything about Japanese or only know a little bit about Japanese? Do you want to prepare yourself a little bit before your trip? Then this class is for YOU :) We start from Zero and you can join any sessions of this series "TRAVEL JAPAN". There are three kinds of characters in Japanese: hiragana, "KATAKANA", and kanji. All three characters can be seen in one sentence. But, this session only focuses on "Katakana" and useful katakana words for your trip. Katakana is normally used for writing loanwords and foreign words. For example... コーヒー（ko-hi-) ☕、ジュース（ju-su) 🍹、ハンバーガー（hanba-ga-）🍔、レストラン（restoran）、カフェ（kafe） Even if you are not able to read other characters:hiragana & kanji, you will be able to read menus at a cafe if you can read katakana. So I would like to offer you a place you can be familiar with katakana before your trip. ★Please read the PDF before the lesson to familiarise yourself with the content. ★ Katakana practice sheets will be given after the session for those who want to practice more.
