Wenn man sich weniger unter Druck gesetzt fühlt, kann man sich auch besser ausdrücken. Ausserdem versuche ich das Selbstbewusstein des Schülers in der Sprache zu stärken.

My aim is to get you speaking, listening, reading and writing from the very beginning. I have studied some dozen or so languages to varying degrees, so I’m quite experienced with various methods of learning. I have also taught classes in university before, both language and otherwise.

You and your goals are the main focus of my lessons. I plan each class around your interests and what you want to achieve, using a mix of course books (following the CEFR) and my own materials. I also like to bring in current topics and social issues, so our lessons stay relevant and engaging.

As a community teacher, my goal will be to bring my passion for the German language into lessons. I am always willing to adapt to any student's needs. My hope is to effectively teach practical German, not just textbook language.

I really enjoy my job and love seeing my students improve their skills step by step and experience moments of success both in and outside of class. My students can be sure that I always show up to class with a smile on my face, that the lessons are carefully prepared and tailored to the needs of each individual student, and that I answer all questions during class with clear explanations and lots of patience.

I’ve been tutoring since I was a student myself — in law, languages, and study skills. My lessons are conversation-based, flexible, and adapted to your needs. I won’t give you a step-by-step textbook course — instead, I’ll coach you through real-life communication, at your level and pace. I don’t teach Dutch from scratch, but if you already speak a little, I’ll help you build fluency, confidence, and clarity. Because language is a skill — and you only learn it by using it.
