As a student, I regularly gave private tutoring in various subjects such as English, German, and history to younger students at my school and continued doing so until I graduated. While traveling through Southeast Asia in 2025, I worked in several schools as a volunteer English teacher in villages outside major cities, gaining hands-on experience teaching beginner-level English. During this time, I successfully obtained my TEFL certificate, qualifying me to teach English professionally. With this teaching experience, I feel confident in teaching you my mother tongue, German, in a fun, clear, and engaging way.

Als ich Spanisch gelernt habe, hatte ich zunächst Hemmungen, mit MuttersprachlerInnen zu sprechen. Deshalb kann ich es gut nachvollziehen, wie schwierig es sein muss, Deutsch zu sprechen. Ich möchte als community tutor zeigen, dass man sich gut auch mit einem niedrigen Deutschlevel mit MuttersprachlerInnen unterhalten kann, da die richtigen Endungen von Wörtern etc. nicht unbedint notwendig sind, um Inhalte zu verstehen. Deshalb möchte ich mit Konversationen das Selbstvertrauen im Deutschsprechen vergrößern.

Ich habe Menschen Deutsch von Grund auf beigebracht und Studenten für Prüfungen vorbereitet. Außerdem möchten viele Schüler sich auf das Sprechen konzentrieren, da es oft in der Schule oder in der Uni vernachlässigt wird. Wir haben Konversationen über allgemeine Themen wie Urlaub, Sport oder Politik. Wichtig ist, dass man viel übt und konstant spricht. Dabei verbessern wir die Aussprache und Grammatik. Die Arbeit mit den Schülern macht mir sehr viel spaß, da man Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennenlernt und ich sehr interessiert an verschiedenen Kulturen bin. Ich bin froh, wenn ich Menschen helfen und ihnen meine Muttersprache etwas näherbringen kann.

As a tutor I try to do the things that I have found most useful as a learner. We can speak about what interests you, read texts together or watch videos online and then talk about those. I do want to help you with whatever you need, so we will start by speaking about your goals and expectations regarding the lessons.
