Parlo fluentemente giapponese e inglese, quindi so bene cosa significa imparare una lingua straniera, con tutte le difficoltà ma anche le soddisfazioni che comporta. Per questo, nelle mie lezioni cerco sempre di creare un ambiente rilassato e motivante, adatto sia a chi parte da zero sia a chi vuole perfezionare il proprio italiano. Oggi insegno giapponese da zero presso un liceo italiano e ho iniziato a insegnare l'italiano cinque anni fa, durante il lock-down. Le mie lezioni sono leggere e vivaci, scorrevoli e informali se lo preferisci! Ti aiuterò a pensare in italiano durante la vita di tutti i giorni.

In a way, teaching a language is helping students to be self-taught. As a teacher, my role will be to give students the knowledge and the confidence they need to discover their target language further autonomously. This way, students will quickly be able to explore what they are most interested in and, most importantly, enjoy the journey. Due to my professional background and expertise, I work exclusively with adults.

My studies also led me to learn about the adults' world and their ways of internalizing new information when it comes to foreign languages.During my University study case, I had the chance to design an English course for absolute-beginner seniors, which was revealed to be the litmus test of the approach effectiveness I'd been working on up to then. I prefer to be seen as a facilitator of learning rather than a teacher,for my aim is to support others in their journey of language exploration by providing tools and offering expertise to raise consciousness of the new language system.

Since my first year at University, I've tutored students in Italian, English and Spanish. I have been working on Italki since 2020 and I had the chance to meet many students and to enrich my didactic methods. In other words, my students should feel totally comfortable and safe without ever worrying about, for example, making mistakes. Mistakes are actually our best friends when we learn a language. I'm also a very thorough teacher and like to give my students thoughtful replies. I'm not afraid of saying "Please, give me some more time to go into this matter. I'll send you an email later" or "We'll go back to it next time". I wouldn't be able to put together an improbable answer just to get out of trouble.
