Giving and receiving feedback is an everyday skill that has become even more important in today’s business world when more and more people are working from home or in remote locations.

The idea that an annual performance review is the only time when feedback is needed is as outdated as Microsoft Windows 95.

So why do both employees and managers the world over dread the annual ritual of a performance review?

The answer is easy. Companies have institutionalised the giving and receiving of feedback and created a strong negative emotional response to the whole idea of having one's performance analysed. No wonder we all anticipate this moment with fear and doom.

However, when done in the right way, with the right intentions, feedback can lead to even greater success and performance. So, let BizPod share with you some tips on how and when to give feedback effectively and how to receive it constructively.

这个时候，刚好有一个人经过。季子想：这个人很瘦，衣服也很旧，应该是一个乞丐。
季子对他说：“喂！这地上有一块儿金子，你捡去用吧！一会儿被其他乞丐捡走，你就什么都没有了！”
这个人听了非常生气，他说：“你凭什么认为我是乞丐？是因为我的衣服很旧？还是因为我很瘦？你觉得我佷可怜吗？”
这个人说：“今天就算你是有钱人，你都不可以这样对我说话！”
季子很不好意思，于是客气地问这个人的名字。这个人说：“你是一个没有礼貌的人，我不想告诉你我的名字。”

English translation:
Jizi was a man of ancient China. Once he went on a journey, resting by the street side whenever he felt exhausted. He spotted a piece of gold on the ground. “Someone could have lost this by accident,“ thought Jizi.
Since Jizi was a wealthy man, he did not want to pick up this piece of gold.
Right at this moment, there was someone passing by. “This man is so scraggy, his clothes are tattered too, he’s got to be a beggar,” thought Jizi.
“Hey, there’s a piece of gold on the ground, go pick it up and use it! You will gain nothing if it were picked by other beggars later,” Jizi told him.
Enraged, this man said, “What makes you think of me as a beggar? Is it because my old clothes are too worn? Or is it because I am too skinny? Are you thinking that I am deplorable?”
“Even if you are a rich man, you should never talk to me like that!” the man said.
Jizi felt very embarrassed and asked this man’s politely what his name was. “You are a ill-mannered man, I don’t want to tell you,” said the man.

Históricamente, la inmigración estadounidense en mi país fue siempre esporádica, poco cuantiosa y puntual. Pero esto comenzó a cambiar en el año 2001, con el inicio de la incesante y estrepitosa devaluación de la moneda. 

Tal es así, que al día de hoy solamente en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, se encuentran registrados oficialmente más de 26.000 estadounidenses. Muchos de ellos, deciden vivir en suelo foráneo de forma permanente por razones existenciales, mientras que otros llegan por intercambios universitarios o, a trabajar en forma remota desde su país de origen, o bien se trata de mayores de 65 años de clase media que, con su jubilación en dólares, pueden vivir cómodamente en Buenos Aires. 

Por estos y otros motivos, Estados Unidos se ha convertido en el octavo país en la lista de nacionalidades que más solicitudes de radicación han presentado ante la Dirección General de Migraciones desde el año 2004; la segunda no limítrofe después de China. 

Sumado a ello, en el primer semestre del 2023 ingresaron más de 257 mil turistas estadounidenses al país, logrando posicionarse en el cuarto lugar del ranking de turismo extranjero (con el 11,4%) sólo detrás de los chilenos, brasileños y uruguayos. 
Además, luego de la pandemia, el boom de turistas provenientes del país anglosajón creció un 16% respecto al año 2019. Los lugares predilectos de estos visitantes son la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, la Patagonia, y las provincias de Salta, Jujuy y Mendoza.

Es muy habitual que, al caminar por ciertas calles de zonas más turísticas se escuche hablar mucho inglés e, incluso, que existan numerosos espacios de intercambio lingüístico en bares y cafés. 

Muchas gracias a los estadounidenses que deciden visitar mi país, ya sea en forma temporal o permanente.

今日はぼくの新しい生活について話します。

実は今週の金曜から海外へ行きます。
旅行ではないです。でも旅行のような感じでもあります。

約1年間、いくつかの国を回ります。
旅行しながら生活する、
生活しながら旅行する、
そんな風にすごすつもりです。

このために、いろんな準備をしてきました。
今は自分たちの家もないし、車もありません。
この短い期間だけ、実家におじゃましています。

持っていく荷物以外のほとんどは手放しました。
売ったり、あげたりしました。

自分の物がなくなっていくにつれて、気持ちはどんどん軽くなります。不思議な感覚です。

ここからの1年は1か月ごとに滞在する場所を変えながら移動していこうと思います。

Podcastでもその生活のはなしをします。
それだけではなくて、もちろん、日本の話もたくさんしていきます。

今回は
トルコからスタートして、ジョージアやヨーロッパの方へいつもりです。
