It's been a while since I posted something. Happy 2023! 

I recently watched The Glory and am currently watching My Name on Netflix. They are similar because both of the lead characters are seeking revenge. 

It got me thinking.

Since two wrongs don't make a right, should we always be the bigger person and show mercy?

To forgive and forget?
To forgive but never forget?

Or

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Is there a limit to what we can put up with as humans? What do we do if someone crosses that line?

It was fascinating and I am enjoying My Name so far. I will watch the final episode tonight and post my thoughts after that.

The number of tigers in India more than doubled between 2010 and 2022, according to a new study.

In 2010, there were around 1,700 tigers in the country — but there were almost 3,700 by 2022, the study said.

The study also said that tiger numbers had increased because the animals were better protected from poachers and because their habitats were better protected too.

The researchers added that the amount of contact between humans and animals has been reduced, and the country has made sure that the tigers have enough prey.

The researchers said the results show that, with the right attitude, people can make a difference.

Some people now want the country to spend more time and money on protecting other animals too.

Of all the tigers in the world, 75% are now in India, in an area of about 138,000 square kilometers.

But many of these animals live close to large numbers of people.

The researchers said some communities have benefited from the increased tiger population because it has meant tourists have visited the area to see the animals.

However, tiger attacks on humans do happen, and with India's human population growing, this problem won't go away.

But the researchers said the number of tiger attacks per year is quite small, and many more people are killed by leopards, wild pigs and snakes, and in car accidents.

However, while many have said that the increase in tigers is good news, others are not sure about the accuracy of the data, which was collected by government-supported agencies.

Cuenta una antigua leyenda que el idioma español nació en una pequeña ciudad llamada Omilia.
Los omilienses, es decir, los habitantes de Omilia, crearon las primeras palabras en español gracias a la creatividad e imaginación. Un día una chica miró hacia arriba y señalando el enorme disco de luz que había lo llamó “sol”. Horas más tarde, ya de noche, decidió que aquellos puntos luminosos se llamarían “estrellas”. Un joven la escuchó y de sus labios salió la palabra “amor”. Juntos inventaron otras palabras esenciales, como “abrazo” o “beso”, y algunas menos importantes, como “hormiga” o “suegra”.
Todos los demás habitantes, al ver lo que habían hecho los dos enamorados, decidieron que ellos también querían crear palabras. Todo el mundo salió a la calle con el objetivo de ser los primeros en poner nombre a algo. Se crearon “puerta” o “frío”, que se llamarían así para siempre.
En las siguientes semanas creció el vocabulario. “Comida” e “interesante” fueron muy populares desde el primer momento. A otras palabras les costó más ser aceptadas. Por ejemplo, “coco” tuvo muchos enemigos que opinaban que sonaba muy mal. También nacieron palabras que produjeron luchas y conflictos, como “propiedad” o “Dios”.

Entonces llegaron a Omilia las musas del indicativo. Poco se sabe de ellas, porque poco se cuenta en los textos antiguos. No obstante, y siempre según la tradición, son las causantes de que podamos usar los diferentes tiempos de los verbos en indicativo.
La primera de ellas, la del presente, entró en un jardín con niños aburridos. Nadie podía verla...
