Clara trabaja en una oficina en el centro de la ciudad. Su día empieza muy temprano, ya que se despierta a las siete de la mañana todos los días, excepto los fines de semana. Después de apagar el despertador, se prepara un café y se sienta a desayunar tranquilamente. A Clara le gusta desayunar tostadas con mermelada y un poco de fruta, normalmente plátano o manzana. A las ocho, sale de su casa y toma el autobús que la lleva al centro. Mientras viaja, aprovecha el tiempo para leer un libro o escuchar música.

Cuando llega a la oficina, enciende su ordenador y empieza a revisar los correos electrónicos que han llegado durante la noche. Siempre tiene muchas tareas que hacer: organizar reuniones, redactar informes y atender llamadas de clientes. A mediodía, Clara suele ir a almorzar con sus compañeros de trabajo. Todos disfrutan comiendo en un pequeño restaurante cercano donde sirven comida casera deliciosa. A veces, si el día está soleado, también salen a caminar un poco después de comer.

Por la tarde, Clara sigue con sus tareas hasta las cinco, cuando termina su jornada laboral. Al llegar a casa, se cambia de ropa y va al gimnasio. Después de hacer ejercicio, regresa, prepara una cena ligera y se relaja viendo una serie o leyendo un libro. Antes de acostarse, Clara dedica unos minutos a escribir en su diario, reflexionando sobre lo que hizo durante el día. Aunque su rutina puede parecer monótona, Clara la disfruta porque siempre encuentra pequeños momentos que hacen que su día sea especial.

L’etimologia del termine “Carnevale” deriva, con molta probabilità, dal latino “carnem levare” (eliminare la carne). Anticamente infatti l’espressione indicava il banchetto dell’ultimo giorno subito prima della Quaresima cristiana. 

The etymology of the term "Carnival" is most likely derived from the Latin word "carnem levare" (to eliminate the flesh). In fact, in ancient times the expression indicated the banquet on the last day immediately before Christian Lent. 

Coriandoli means “confetti”: sono piccoli pezzi di carta colorata che vengono lanciati durante le feste, come il Carnevale, per celebrare.

Maschera means mask: è un travestimento indossato per nascondere l'identità durante le feste e i balli in maschera.

Sfilata di carri means float parade: è una parata di carri decorati che sfilano per le strade durante il Carnevale, solitamente accompagnati da musica e ballerini.

Ballo in maschera means Masked Ball: è una festa in maschera dove le persone indossano costumi elaborati e ballano insieme nel periodo del Carnevale.

Frittelle Veneziane are typical sweets from Venice: sono dolci tipici del Carnevale di Venezia, fatti di pasta lievitata fritta e zucchero a velo.

Quaresima means Lent: è un periodo di 40 giorni prima di Pasqua, durante il quale i cristiani si preparano per la festa attraverso la preghiera e il digiuno.

Volo dell’angelo literally means Flight of the Angel: è un evento che si svolge durante il Carnevale di Venezia, solo a Venezia, dove una persona vestita da angelo vola dal palazzo Ducale in piazza San Marco, simboleggiando la discesa di un messaggero divino.
