Some idioms to use in today's story:

1. Burning the candle at both ends
Refers to working excessively hard, both early and late, leading to exhaustion.

2. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
Suggests that without time off from work, a person becomes both bored and boring.

3. Keeping your nose to the grindstone
Indicates staying focused and working hard, but can imply neglecting other important aspects of life.

4. Work hard, play hard
Encourages balancing intense work with equally intense leisure activities.

5. Finding the sweet spot
Refers to achieving the perfect balance between work and personal life.

Include some of them in your short story and pat yourself on the back for achieving another goal!

En el podcast de Hot Yoga Parte 1 habíamos hablado sobre la flexibilidad y la capacidad pulmonar.

Y en esta ocasión te voy a presentar el Beneficio Nº3, que es la mejora de la densidad ósea. Como todos sabemos, la densidad ósea disminuye con la edad. Por ejemplo, con la menopausia se reduce hasta un 50%, y aproximadamente la mitad de este porcentaje se pierde en los primeros 10 años. 

Según un estudio realizado por la Scientific Research en mayo de 2014, en un período de 5 años, la densidad ósea de las personas con menopausia que practicaban yoga con calor aumentó en la pelvis, la zona lumbar y el cuello. El estudio llegó a la conclusión de que los entornos con temperaturas altas reducen los efectos de la osteoporosis en las mujeres mejorando la circulación, la respiración y la sudoración.

Y ahora mismo también te puedo contar sobre otro beneficio de esta disciplina, que es su capacidad de quemar calorías. Una investigación llevada a cabo por la Universidad de Colorado en EEUU demostró que las personas que practicaban hot yoga eran las que más calorías quemaban: las mujeres unas 330 calorías en una clase de 90 minutos y los hombres unas 460 (porque normalmente pesan más). En un estudio con la temperatura alta se suda mucho más, así que el cuerpo debe trabajar más para regular la temperatura y el corazón tiene que bombear más sangre. Esto significa que con el Hot Yoga se quema una mayor cantidad de calorías que en una clase de yoga tradicional sin calor.

Y éstas fueron dos nuevas ventajas que te presento sobre esta disciplina, para que puedas entrenar tu comprensión auditiva mediante el quizz asociado y luego chequear tus respuestas con la transcripción correspondiente.
