قربونت (Ghorboonet)
Omschrijving
Meaning:
Literally: “I sacrifice myself for you.” ❤️
But don’t worry—it’s not usually meant literally! 😄
In everyday Persian, قربانت is a warm and affectionate way to say:
→ Take care!
→ Thanks!
→ You’re welcome!
→ My pleasure!
💬 Examples:
👩 ممنون که کمکم کردی.
Mamnun ke komakam kardi.
→ Thanks for helping me.
👩🦱 قربانت!
Ghorboonet!
→ My pleasure! / You’re welcome!
📞 خداحافظ، مراقب خودت باش.
Khodâhâfez, morâghebe khodet bâsh.
→ Goodbye, take care.
❤️ قربانت!
Ghorboonet!
→ Take care!
🔑 Cultural note:
Persian has many expressions that sound much more dramatic or affectionate in a literal translation than they feel in everyday conversation. قربانت is a great example!
👥 More formal:
قربانتان
Ghorbân-etân
✨ Try it!
Your Persian friend says:
ممنون که اومدی!
Mamnun ke umadi!
→ Thanks for coming!
What could you reply?
👉 قربانت! ❤️
