Before we delve into the fine art of ‘no,’ let’s address the ‘yes’ epidemic. It’s a modern plague that we’ve all fallen victim to at some point. Fueled by the fear of disappointing others or missing out, we nod our heads like bobbleheads on steroids. Saying ‘yes’ to everything is a recipe for burnout, my fellow ‘yes’-aholics! はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの29回目です。もうすぐ30回です。このポッドキャストは毎週更新しているので、半年以上続いている計算になります。それと、6月3日は開業記念日でした。私は2019年のこの日に、フリーランスの語学講師として税務署に開業届を提出しました。今年で3年目になります。ここまで続いているのはみなさんのおかげです。いつも本当にありがとうございます。

Hello. This is episode 29 of my podcast. It is almost 30 times. The podcast is updated weekly, which means it has been running for more than six months. Also, 3 June was my opening day. On this day in 2019, I registered my business with the tax office as a freelance language teacher. This year will be my third year. It is thanks to all of you that I have lasted this long. Thank you so much for everything.

I will be hosting a webinar hosted by italki at the end of this month. I will be talking about how to find a niche in Japanese language teaching. It has been a long time since I have made slides for a presentation. This webinar is aimed at teachers, but I hope it will be useful for non-teachers as well. I will let you know as soon as we have more details.

大阪は暑い日が続いています。毎日最高気温が30度ぐらいあり、すっかり夏です。暑いと食欲が出ないし、筋トレも大変に感じるので、体調を崩しやすいです。鼻水は止まりましたが、家にいてばかりだと、体が重く感じます。今日は休みだったので、スーパーで買い物をした後、散歩に出かけました。

The weather in Osaka continues to be hot. The maximum temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius every day and it is totally summer. When it's hot, I don't have much of an appetite and muscle training feels hard, so it's easy to get sick. My runny nose has stopped, but if I stay at home all the time, I feel heavy. Today was my day off, so after shopping at the supermarket, I went for a walk.

私の家から近い難波駅のひとつ隣に、心斎橋という駅があります。このあたりは、デパートや外資系のブランドの路面店が多いショッピング街です。東京の新宿や表参道に似ています。午後6時ぐらいに行くと、人がたくさんいて、買い物や食事をしています。私はまず服屋に行って、それからアイスコーヒーを買いました。

29. 街を散歩する

لم يكن مجرد مفتاح…
قطعة حديد صغيرة،
ثقيلة قليلًا،
وقديمة.
لكنه كان…
أكثر من ذلك بكثير.
في بيتٍ بسيط،
كانت الجدة تحتفظ به
في صندوقٍ خشبي.
لا تفتحه كثيرًا،
لكنها…
لم تكن تنساه أبدًا.
كانت تقول:
"هذا مفتاح بيتنا…
في يافا."
لم يكن الأطفال يفهمون.
أي بيت؟
وأين هو؟
لكنهم كانوا يرون في عينيها
شيئًا مختلفًا…
شيئًا بين الحنين…
والحزن.
كانت تحكي:
عن بابٍ أبيض،
وشجرةٍ أمام البيت،
وصوت البحر القريب.
ثم تضيف بهدوء:
"خرجنا يومًا…
وقيل لنا سنعود."
لكن العودة…
لم تأتِ.
مرت السنوات.
وتغيّر كل شيء.
مدن تبدّلت،
وأسماء تغيّرت،
وأبواب أُغلقت…
لكن المفتاح
بقي.
وفي يومٍ من الأيام،
أعطت الجدة المفتاح
لحفيدها.
وقالت:
"قد لا نعود…
لكن لا تنسَ."
أمسك المفتاح.
لم يرَ البيت،
ولم يمشِ في شوارع يافا…
لكنه شعر
أن هذا المفتاح
ليس له وحده.
ومنذ ذلك اليوم،
لم يعد المفتاح
مجرد ذكرى.
بل أصبح…
قضية.

International Tea Day is observed every year on May 21st and it aims to raise awareness of the long history and deep cultural and economic significance of Tea around the world. The idea is to promote and to somehow Implement activities in favour of promoting everything related to tea.

 International Tea Day has been celebrated for quite some time. It started off on December 15th in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia and others across Africa such as Malaysia and Tanzania. The idea is to draw global attention to tea and to the global tea trade.

It has also been  linked to wanting more support to keep the cost of tea down. In 2015, the Indian Government proposed expanding the observance of International Tea today  by having some kind of intergovernmental group to discuss tea. They created something which led to big efforts to support the world's tea economy and in 2015, they had a big meeting in Milan to discuss the idea of an international Tea Day.  It then went to the United Nations. And that's how We managed to get International Tea Day on the 21st of May. Here's some very interesting facts about tea here in the UK:

The average British person drinks 876 cups of tea every single year. So, that's well over two cups a day if my calculations are right.

 And, apparently, for centuries, it was used only as a medicine. 

Tea was first introduced to Britain almost 400 years ago and was described, described as a Chinese drink because it first came from China.

A cup of tea has become native to British culture. It's the number one choice for British people and herbal teas are also very popular these days.
