The flickering light from a small fire casts these images onto the walls, animating the wrestlers in a primitive, captivating dance of shadows.



The cave's inhabitants watch these images, interpreting the epic battles as the ultimate expression of wrestling. They debate the techniques, celebrate the victories, and mourn the defeats, all from the moving images on the amphoras. To them, these representations are the entirety of wrestling—there is no world beyond the wrestlers on the pottery.


Nikostratos, ever the curious and skeptical cat, notices a sliver of light peeking through a crack in the cave wall. The murals and their tales don't satisfy his curiosity. One day, driven by a particularly pungent smell of the outside world—a mix of fresh earth and sweat—he finds a loose stone and wiggles his way through the crack.

After consonants, the vowel letter pairs а/я, э/е, о/ё, ы/и, and у/ю represent 
essentially the same vowel sound. Their only difference is that the letters in the bottom 
row tell you that the preceding consonant is palatalized, or soft.*

* a palatalized consonant is pronounced with the blade of the tongue pressed up 
against the hard palate, it sounds like a consonant plus the [y] sound of “yes” pronounced at the exact same time.

Colgo l'occasione per farvi notare alcune differenze fra l'inglese e l'italiano nell'utilizzo di alcuni verbi come realizzare o alcune espressioni che sono simili in entrambe le lingue ma che vengono usati in contesti diversi! l'espressione stringere i denti che utilizzo alla fine, significa resistere, con lo stesso significato si potrebbe utilizzare anche l'espressione: tenere duro. Esempio:
- Stringete i denti/Tenete duro fino a mercoledì! Significato > Resistete fino a mercoledì!
