意味(いみ)は、動作(どうさ)・動(うご)きの進行中(しんこうちゅう)を表(あらわ)します。

(乗っている　食べている　なっている)

(ex)
「いま、なにしてるの？」
「あ～、電車(でんしゃ)に乗(の)っているところ」

What are you doing?
I'm just getting on the train.

「ごはんを食べているところ」

・作業員が木にはしごをかけて、枝を切った。
