Turns out, the main difference is size—bamboo is big, sasa is small. Even the pros can’t always tell them apart!

今日は6月29日。天気は雨。
気温は18℃、肌寒い日が続いています。

さて、今日は日本について、話します。
日本の道路は右側、左側、どちらを走るか知っていますか？

はい、日本は左側通行ですね。
今日は、その話をしていきます。


なぜ日本の道路は左側通行なのか、みなさんは知ってますか？知っているような、知らないような…。ということで、調べてみました。

 まず、世界の75%は右側通行です。
世界の国々で右側通行と左側通行と分かれています。
右側通行の国(国や地域)は、
アメリカ、カナダ、メキシコ、フランス、ドイツ、イタリア、スペイン、中国、韓国、台湾、ベトナム、サウジアラビア、ロシア、ブラジル、ペルーなど

左側通行の国は、
イギリス、香港、オーストラリア、ニュージーランド、インド、ケニア、南アフリカ、日本、タイなど
があるようです。

右側、左側、それぞれの理由です。
右側通行はフランス、左側通行はイギリスという国が影響を及ぼしているようです。馬車を操る人が右側、左側、どちらに座っていたかが、車社会に影響があったようです。

では、日本はどうか。
日本もいろんな説があります。
個人的に好きな説があります。日本には昔、武士がいました。武士は剣を左の腰にさしていました。右側だと鞘があたるから、左側通行にした、という説です。が、これが主説(しゅせつ)ではないようです。

左側が通行が決まったのは、1900年です。国で、そのような法律が決まりました。そして、驚くことには、左側通行にした理由は特にないようです。本当にびっくりする話ですよね。
 その時に決めたことが、そのまま受け継がれていると思うと、少し不思議な感じがします。世界で統一したらいいのに、と思うのは私だけでしょうか。

今天天气很好，是一个晴天。早上七点多，大新叫妈妈起床。起床以后，大新拉着妈妈到了卫生间。大新给妈妈一杯水，让妈妈刷牙。妈妈刷牙的时候，大新就给妈妈梳头。妈妈的头发大部分是白的，是短发，但是不是很短。刷完了压，梳好了头发，大新拉着妈妈来到餐厅。大新已经给妈妈卓好了早饭。大新给了妈妈一个鸡蛋。妈妈不认识鸡蛋，她说是饽饽。大新告诉她这是鸡蛋，大鸡蛋。大新还给妈妈准备了粥和红薯、馒头。大新帮着妈妈吃了早饭，然后，他自己也吃了早饭。大新的早饭和妈妈的早饭一样，看上去很简单，但是很好吃。吃了早饭，大新要带妈妈出去走一走。
