Bonjour, je suis Rieuse, la mouette rieuse. C’est mon vrai nom. Je vis surtout à la mer. J’adore jouer avec les vagues, en poussant des cris perçants ! En hiver, je préfère les villes et le bord des fleuves. On me jette du pain et des restes de repas. Je suis très gourmande.
Ce matin, j’ai rencontré une souris. J’allais l’attraper quand elle a crié:
- Je suis la souris verte, une souris magique. Si tu me manges, tu seras transformée en corbeau !
Moi, la mouette rieuse, changée en corbeau ? J’ai préféré quelques vers de terre pour mon dîner. Pourtant, je crois que cette souris verte était une farceuse. Qu’en penses-tu?

今日3日間の入院が終って帰ってきました。
スケートに行って転倒、骨折、入院・手術を経験して、早1年が過ぎました。
そして、この3月23日に、抜釘手術を受けました。抜釘手術というのは、骨折した箇所を固定するために入れた金属の板とボルトを取る手術のことです。
骨折したときの手術は、しなければいけなかったので、悩むことはありませんでした。
でも、今度の手術は私がするかしないかを決めなくていけませんでした。もっと年がいったお年寄りなら、抜釘手術はしないそうです。でも、私ぐらいの年齢は、手術をするかしないかのちょうど境目ぐらいだそうです。
では、なぜ、この手術を受けることにしたのか。それは、金具が入っている箇所をもう一度骨折した場合、手術がより難しくなる可能性があるとお医者さんに言われたからです。もともと手首はそんなに強いほうではないので、この先、絶対に骨折しないとは限りません。もちろん、気をつけて生活すれば骨折なんかしないで済むでしょう。でもそれも絶対ではありません。それで、抜釘手術をしてもらうことにしました。
いざ手術の日が近づくと、だんだん不安になっていきました。そんなに難しい手術ではないように聞いているけれど、手首には血管も神経もあるし、なんか事故でもあったら・・・。そんな風に、びくびく考えている間にいよいよ入院の日になってしまいました。
入院する前に、部屋を片付けて、桜の花を見に行って、お寿司を食べて。もし何かあっても・・・いやいやいやいや。何もない、何もない！悪いことばかり考えていたら本当に悪いことが起こるかもしれない。絶対大丈夫！先生を信じよう！
手術は３月23日朝９：３０から。手術用の服に着替えて、手術室まで自分で歩いて行きました。それから、全身麻酔をかけられて、気が付いたらすべて終わっていました。
「なだにさーん」「終わりましたよ～」「お部屋に戻りますね～」と明るい声で私に話しかける先生の声で目覚めました。麻酔の時間も入れて2時間の手術でした。
全身麻酔と左腕の局所麻酔。　この腕の麻酔がとてもよく効いて、左の手先から肘の腕当たりの感覚が　夕方になっても戻ってきませんでした。片腕が使えないだけで、起き上がることもできません。夜、寝る時間になっても、変化なし。感覚がまったくない。　このまま左手が使えなくなったらどうしよう！？という恐怖が襲ってきました。
主治医の先生は、「麻酔がよく効（き）いてますね～。ぼくが打ったんですけどね。明日には動きますよ。」と　とても軽い口調で言われたのですが。この若い先生、ほんとに大丈夫？？？？　と思って、もう不安で、不安で。
消灯時間が過ぎたころに、看護士さんが来て、腕に巻かれた包帯を少し緩めてくれました。それから、しばらくウトウトして、気がつくと夜中の1時ごろでした。　「左指（ひだりゆび）、動け～」と目いっぱい脳から指令を出したら、なんと　わずかに左指が動き出したんです！！「やった～！！」麻酔が切れ始めた！手術が終わって12時間が過ぎていました。そこからは1時間、1時間　時間が経つにつれて、腕、手、指の感覚が戻ってきました。それと同時に手術した箇所に痛みも感じはじめましたが、そのくらいの痛み、腕が動かない恐怖に比べたらなんということはありません。
日頃、五体満足に暮らしていると、健康であることの有難みを忘れがちになりますが、今回の手術で、何一つかけても困るんだと実感しました。
まだしばらくは病院通いが続きますが、無事に手術が終わったことに感謝したいと思います。先生にも、看護師さんにも、支えてくれた友だち、家族にも！みんな、ありがとう！

Welcome! I’m delighted to present to you 111 Tips for Learning a Language. Here is our tip for today. The first tip is to learn in a way which is most comfortable to you. You yourself decide how and what you want to learn. Well, be creative! There is no one right way to learn a language. Everyone is a unique individual and thus they have different interests when it comes to learning. Some students like to dive straight into informal conversation while others prefer to learn in a more systematic way using a textbook. Some students, like myself included, start by learning vocabulary. I take great pleasure in making flash cards for myself when I’m learning a language. When we learn in a manner which we enjoy we would definitely be more disciplined to keep it up. Ideally learning for ourselves should be fun and relaxing while stimulating at the same time with just the right oomph factor to keep us wanting to know more. EL SILVATO AZTECA.

Los fundadores de México-Tenochtitlan no dejan de sorprendernos. Es bien sabido que los aztecas tenían una rica tradición religiosa, política, cosmológica, artística y filosófica, heredada de sus constantes viajes y las conquistas sobre otras tribus mesoamericanas.

Ser el centro de una enorme civilización, también implica tener un gran saber sobre calendarios, escritura y arquitectura. Fueron estos logros, entre otros tantos, lo que destaca a los aztecas como una de las mayores culturas del mundo.

La creación de ornamentos y artilugios para fines quirúrgicos, bélicos y religiosos también es una constante de los mexicas. Uno de estos artefactos, del que poco se habla pero que infunde un gran terror es el Ehecachichtli o silbato de la muerte.

El Ehecachichtli es un instrumento único en el mundo y su sonido es tan peculiar como estremecedor. Están los pequeños que caben en el puño de la mano y los que tienen el tamaño de un cráneo normal. Sobre todo son hechos de arcilla y dan la impresión de emitir gritos aterradores.

Como todo instrumento de viento, el sonido depende del tamaño del orificio por donde entra el aire, y cuanto más grande y largo sea tubo de acceso, más se presenta el efecto gutural. Entre más pequeño y corto sea el orificio de acceso, se obtendrá un sonido agudo. Esto también depende del efecto que se le da al silbato, ya que es posible modificar el acceso del aire con las manos y modular el volumen de la caja de resonancia.

Como sea, su sonido es inquietante. La alta frecuencia del silbato estremece el cuerpo y hace que la mente recuerde el ambiente espectral de las películas de terror. Sólo piensa en cientos o quizá miles de silbatos resonando al mismo tiempo, combinado con la atmósfera que provocan los cascabeles y tambores, para tener una idea más precisa del efecto psicológico devastador que sentían las tribus rivales al enfrentarse a los mexicas.
