はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの8回目です。週末はこの前買ったアンクルウェイトをつけて筋トレをしました。アンクルウェイトは、0.5kgの違いでも大きな変化を感じます。ダンベルも3kgから5kgにしようと考えていましたが、いきなり重くすると体に負担がかかりすぎて、よくないかもしれません。無理のない習慣を続けながら、少しずつ増やしていく必要がありそうです。仕事や勉強のプロセスも似ています。

Hello, This is episode 8 of season 2 of my podcast. At the weekend I did some muscle training with the ankle weights I bought last time. With ankle weights, even a difference of 0.5 kg makes a big difference. I was also thinking of increasing the dumbbells from 3kg to 5kg, but suddenly going heavier might not be a good idea as it puts too much strain on the body. I think I need to increase the weight steadily little by little while continuing regularly, and not exerting myself too much.The process of work and study is similar.

Last week I talked about Generation Z in my university class. Generation Z are people born between the late 1990s and about 2010. I am a millennial (born between 1980 and 1995), one generation before that, also known as Generation Y. Generation Z are digital natives, so they do most of their communication and information gathering online. Many university professors are Generation X (born 1965-1980) or pre-Generation X; the way Generation X communicated and gathered information was by telephone. As Generation Y, I use both the internet and the telephone a lot. In class, all generations came together to discuss differences in thinking.

For the past few years, companies around the world have been testing out a four-day work week. In many cases, this means allowing employees to spread their work hours over four days instead of five.

Many of these tests have been successful, and people in the UK may soon get more rights to ask for a four-day work week.

Since April, employees in the UK have had the right to ask for more flexible working conditions, but companies do not have to agree to it.

But under the government's plans to increase flexibility for workers, companies may have to offer flexible working hours from the day the employee starts working — although it's not yet clear what this means.

"One possibility is for the government to make it more difficult for employers to refuse such requests, because at present it is quite easy for them to do so," Charlie Thompson, an employment lawyer who works for law company Stewarts, told Sky News.

Education Minister Jacqui Smith said more flexibility could be better for productivity.

"You're still doing the same amount of work, but perhaps you're doing it in a way that enables you, for example, to need less child care, to spend more time with your family, to do other things, that encourages more people into the workplace," she told LBC Radio.

But not everyone is happy with the idea of a four-day work week, and some tests weren't as successful as others.

UK supermarket Asda tested a four-day week, but changed back to the five-day week after staff said the longer work days were too demanding.

Another supermarket, Morrisons, also tried a four-day work week at its head office, but to make it work, staff sometimes had to work on Saturdays, which they weren't happy about.

Hello! I went to Kyoto for sightseeing during May 17th - 19th.
It was one of the most beautiful season in Kyoto, especially green color of new leaves.
I am going to talk about our trip on Kyoto. 

On the first day at Kyoto, we went Heian Jingu and Shin-en, which is a traditional Japanese garden.  We can see some flowers like Shobu, Has, and Kouhone.  They are so beautiful.

After that, we enjoy Ochabana, which is a kind of flower arrangement in Japanese style.
Master gave us some tips for Ochabana.  That is Subtraction and triangle. To throw out the extras. 

Our trip goes on and on. I'll tell you the rest later.  Thank you so much.

新緑の５月　京都を旅行しました。
５月１７日から１９日の三日間の京都観光についてお話します。
今回は　第１日目
１０時　平安神宮に集合
平安神宮は平安遷都（へいあんせんと）1100年を記念して、明治28年に遷都（せんと）のおや神様である第50代桓武天皇（かんむてんのう）をご祭神（さいしん）として建てられました。
JR京都駅からバスで約３０分　　赤い大きな鳥居が目印です。
１０：３０　神苑（しんえん）
33,000㎡の広さの日本庭園。5月の見ごろは　菖蒲（しょうぶ）、蓮（はす）、コウホネの花です。
１１：１０　お茶花体験
日本の華道と海外のフラワーアレンジメントの違いを知りました。
フラワーアレンジメントは、足し算（たしざん）で作るのに対して、日本の華道（かどう）は引き算（ひきざん）でいける。つまり、余分（よぶん）な　葉や枝を切って落とすのです。シンプルに！　形は三角（さんかく）にする。そうすれば、すがたよくお花が生けられると教えてもらいました。

私の京都旅行はまだまだつづきますが、つづきはまた今度！
