Hello everyone.
I want to ask you about a part time job in your country.
I am in the university in Japan. My major is tourism course. When I took the class, the teacher told me that students do not have a part time job the other countries. I was surprised. I guess that almost students have a part time job in my country. Do you have it?

Do you have one?
When I was in university (usually referred to as “college” in the US), I did indeed have a part-time job; several in fact! In the US, this is common. I also studied in the UK, however, where working part-time was much more rare (at least at the university where I studied), and it was in fact required to get special dispensation from the university administration to work during term. (I didn’t get approval). That seemed crazy to me, as an American, but it just goes to show you that there are a lot of differences across countries!
