Hello! I have a question for other teachers on italki: What do you do when someone fills your teacher form but doesn't say anything else and doesn't book a lesson? It has happened a couple of times and after asking those people told me that they didn't want to book lessons. Why film a teacher form then? Today it happened again, I received that someone sent me a completed form. Should I ALWAYS ask if they want to book a lesson or wait until they say something else? I am curious to see how other people deal with this, it's so much easier when people who fill forms actually do book a lesson.

This is the forum for students. The teacher's private forum is a better place for questions like this.

Hey Dee! I usually face a similar problem. When someone fills the form, I'll send them a message and ask them about their goals. Some students won't reply to it and I'll never hear from them again. Then there's the second group of students who fill the form, thinking that the lessons are free. It's very frustrating when that happens. Of course, there are communicative students who are always willing to exchange ideas and offer input, maybe it's just me, but I don't come across them as often as I'd like to. What about you?
