Hi everyone ! I wanted to know if someone can correct my redaction. In fact, for training my english, I translated a french article that I found on Internet. Thanks in advance !!! In the history of the monetary relations at the XXe century, so in the history in general, the dollar occupes a major place. This point of view is strongly repanded in France, but also shared by other countries in the world. The « green banknote » as he is called, is indisociable of the USA. Money is certainly a symbol, and conducts to a political and social reality. The dollar, in that way, represents the american dream, but also the american nightmare. Since George Duhamel, he appeared as the most explicit signal and the most efficient vector of the american hegemony. Here is, as the president De Gaulle’s minister of the Finances Giscard d’Estaing says « the exorbitant privilege » of the dollar : international money generated by the strongest nation-State of the world, and in the same time, international money accepted as payement method by everyone.

The president De Gaulle's minister of Finances, Giscard d'Estaing, describes the "exorbitant privilege" of the dollar as international money generated by the strongest nation of the world, as well as, international money accepted as payment by everyone. Sorry if I misunderstood the intended meaning in any of these sentences!

Money is certainly a symbol, and influences the political and social reality (again, I'm guessing at the intended meaning here). The dollar represents the American dream, but also the American nightmare. Since George Duhamel, it has appeared as the most explicit signal and most efficient vector of the American hegemony.

Sorry it didn't like my strikethroughs, This view is strongly (repanded is not a word in English, but if it comes from repandre, maybe "supported?") in France, but also shared by other countries. The "green banknote," as it is called, is (I think you might be looking for either indispensable to or maybe inseparable from) the USA.

Throughout the history of <s>the</s> monetary relations during the XXe century, <s>so in the history in general</s> the dollar has occupied a major place. (I would actually say "the dollar has played a major role" if you want to sound more natural, but "has occupied" is the grammatical way to phrase your sentence.)

Hi, I'm trying to submit a correction, but italki is telling me it "contains sensitive words," so I'm going to post it in parts to see where the problem is.
