Great question, Omayma. It raises the eternal question...why do bad things happen to good people, and why do good things happen to "bad" people? And even if we sincerely think that we deserve good things, we have to admit that sometimes we are frustrated with how "unfair" life is at times. I think I do deserve good things, but to cultivate that, I have to put myself in the best position to receive those things. Likewise, I cannot be selfish...I must be willing to give to others if I truly want to be happy.
