"Inception" is the beginning of something. How it began or why it began are something else entirely.
"Genesis" goes deeper. It refers not merely to the beginning of something but also to the reasons why something happened and how it happened.
For example, the first book of the Bible is called "Genesis". It is the story of how the universe began. Only the first paragraph of the book would describe its "inception".

"enter" so "I have to enter my transaction" (data entry). Recording transactions is also known as "doing the books" whereas falsifying transactions for tax avoidance is known as "cooking the books."

They're very similar in meaning. Genesis often has more biological (or even religious) connotations, whereas inception is just the starting point of anything.
