Make sure you only use it in a context where it’s very clear what you’re saying, though. Otherwise it could be unclear what you mean. For example: “Do you have time to do this next week?” “I’m not sure, as I’ll be a bit stretched with my work schedule”

The expression to "be stretched" must be regional, as I'm not accostomed to hearing it. Also, I don't say "busy FOR work..."; I would probably say busy AT or busy WITH work next week!
