The car company with the _____ percentage of car sales thoroughout the period was Toyota. Which is natural to fill in the blank with 'highest' or 'largest'? I think 'largest' is often used for number, so 'highest' is better for this instance. Which is correct??

The most precise word to use here is "highest". But "greatest" is also a popular choice. People tend not to use "largest" with "percentage" - best to avoid that one.

'highest' sounds more natural. low-high on the other hand, "largest", has to do with size.
