Recently, I'm reading a foreign (French) novel. I'm reading a book called "Nobody's Boy" ("Sans Famille" in its original version, which seems to be a classic from the French literature) (Yes it is) A boy is taken by an elder man and grows up while traveling with him on the roads. Otherwise, I read some mysterious novels (not sure if that was what you meant).

There is an old Japanese anime series (1977-1978) adapted from this novel and called Nobody's Boy: Remi (家なき子). The story is awfully sad though.
