It’s sunny today. We visited a lakeside resort for the first time. There was a bookshop & café next to the lake, and people could even fish from its porch and patio. We spent hours there, enjoying coffee. Dad isn’t really a fan of walking under the blazing sun. (This sentence doesn’t fit because you haven’t mentioned the weather).At dusk, one of Mom’s friends invited us for dinner. It was basically hot-pot, but the highlight was the pot which was made from a fresh wax gourd cut in half. I could tell the hot pot (“it” could refer to the gourd) was very healthy, with very little oil and fat, because the gourd absorbed the oil from any meat when cooking. The soup tasted amazing too. It was a nice day.
