The weather is fair today. After a brief shower, the sun shines again. Despite being called winter, the weather hasn't quite caught up. As the rain stopped, I accompanied my mom on a shopping trip. She had planned to cook Sukiyaki tonight. We bought some premium beef, vegetable combos, and tofu. It was the perfect dish to have at home during winter, although we had to keep the air conditioner on while eating. After all, it was still a hot pot.

"After a shower, the sun shines" means that the sun took a shower. The two thoughts "it was the perfect dish" and "we had to keep the air conditioner on" are unrelated. They should be in two separate sentences.

Sounds great. I went to a Chinese restaurant to eat 锅包肉 yesterday, my favourite.
