What sentence is correct?
I found that some examples.on the web of "under the pump+ to verb" but it sounds better the third one to me

I agree with the previous comment…This is not a common phrasal verb used. I’ve actually have never heard it used, but I do believe it’s rather old and out of fashion.

Slammed
Tied up with
Busy as a bee/beaver
Neck/eyeballs deep in something
In the weeds

#3 would be similar to the meaning of #2, which is the best answer, except for its misspelling and missing comma.
One could say, "I have been under the pump, working on it."
