Are some words misused? Like “captions”, “trademarks“, are they supposed to be “ subtitle “, “ feature “?

Captions and subtitles are similar concepts to each other. Often, either word can refer to the same place on a page, and often, the editor has a preference which word they use, even if both can easily refer to the same thing.
Trademark notices (especially copyright notices) are sometimes featured in such places, within editorial features. A feature is just a part of something - often a key part. For example, your nose is a feature of your face; and in a newspaper, the main story can be called the main feature. Also, any major substantial story is often simply called a feature; and with this refined meaning, in publishing terms, 'feature length' is a term often used to describe something long (enough to be a well-elaborated key story).
