These days, people never miss using social media apps. Some people think online platforms are a great tool to meet new people, while others believe that it should be used to keep in touch with family members and friends. Personally, I support the latter opinion because online communication involves high risks although different platforms can be used for different types of interaction.
Social media enables today's people to stay connected with family and friends who live far apart. It is a common sight that sending a happy birthday message to old friends on Facebook. Such occational exchanges show one's care for another, and keep and strengthen relationships. In addition, posting photos on social media lets others catch a glimpse of one's current life. It is a casual, convenient way to inform people and get in touch.
Online communication is easy and convenient, but can be risky, for example, scams and information leak. There are criminals trying to become friends and swindle money. Although several platforms require identity valification, people cannot be sure whether someone's profile is real or fake. Meeting new people online entails certain risks, and it is important to examine others' true intentions. In this regard, platforms for a specialised purpose, such as language learning, could be safer because incongruous behaviours will stand out.
To summarise, although it is useful for socializing, I believe it is better to use social media for sustaining and cultivating existing relationships because of risks of anonymity.

These days, people never miss (this sentence could mean two things - they don’t miss using them could mean they don’t care) using social media apps. Some people think online
platforms are a great tool to meet new people, while others believe that they
should only be used to keep in touch with family members and friends. Personally, I
support the latter opinion because online communication involves high risks,
although different platforms can be used for different types of interaction.

Well done, good stuff.
