I recently celebrated my birthday. Reaching an age that feels like a big milestone for me gave me a strange and special feeling. The day before my birthday, my coworkers at my part-time job celebrated with me, and on the day itself, I received many warm messages from my family and friends. I was reminded of how happy it feels to be celebrated and how lucky I am to have such wonderful people around me.
Since I’ve become a little more of an adult, I’d like to introduce a phrase that I value deeply. It’s something my high school teacher once told me: “The best is yet to come.” I tend to think that student life is the most enjoyable time in life, but hearing those words from someone with more life experience made me realize that there are still many fun and wonderful things waiting ahead. Because of that, I now feel excited to keep enjoying life and look forward to what’s to come.
