Is "after ten o'clock" mean ten something o'clock as in direction?

I think it is just a normal reference to the time of day. The time when they identified the the postman was just after ten o'clock. The idea that it is a direction is clever, but it can't be right here because we would never use the preposition "after." It would always be "at." "Look over there, it's at ten o'clock."
