In a university English lecture, we discussed the topic of corporal punishment. I gave a presentation arguing that corporal punishment can be necessary in certain situations. In my experience, I have seen people's behaviour improve after receiving corporal punishment. Of course, excessive corporal punishment is harmful, but I believe that society could benefit if there were appropriate oversight and clear safeguards.
