Here in Japan people are still required to wear a mask in public indoor spaces, which might annoy people coming from other countries. On the other hand, the Japanese government has already announced that it's OK not to wear one outdoors. Despite that, most Japanese people tend to wear one, even outdoors. In short, they wear a mask all the time, unless (they are) eating /having meals or at home. I'm an exception, who never wears a mask outdoors. I sometimes notice someone looking at me with [/showing] an expression of /like "Why don't you do the same as others do?" But I don't care because I'm pretty sure that I'm not doing anything wrong. Though I basically like the way Japanese people value harmony, and try to avoid conflict in their daily lives, I'm afraid they are often too much influenced by peer pressure [/by those around them]. I wish Japanese people thought and acted a little more independently.
