Could anyone please explain to me with detailed examples the difference between "bei der" and "beim" prepositions?

"Beim" is an abbreviation of "bei dem". What you're really asking is the difference between "der" and "dem".

If the noun after "bei" is masculine or neuter, use "dem". If it is feminine or plural, use "der".
