Peachey is right that there is not a modern contraction for ¨it was¨ that you can use.  However, it might be good for you to know that there is an archaic contraction (one not used anymore) that you may occasionally come across, especially in poetry like: ´twas the night before Christmas.

No, it's can only be it is or it has (ie. present perfect: it's happened). It was doesn't contract.
