told or said ? Good morning folks, you could teach me when I use "told" and when I use "said" what is the difference between them ... and how do I know when to use one or the other? thank you so much

You say something.
You tell somebody something.

"Tell" normally has a listener. If you want to add a listener to "say", then you say something to somebody.
