Is the Assimil français e-course worth it for a beginner? Has anyone had experience with Assimil's e-course, Collection sans peine? Advice from good and bad experiences appreciated!

I'm a beginner and looking for a way to help structure my French learning, aiming to improve speaking and also passing DELF B2 late next year. I'm enjoying language exchanges, tutes, duolingo & other vocab apps, but I'd like a complementary learning structure to help me gauge progress and reinforce other activities.

I've come across some grammar books, but find them pretty confusing and boring! I've downloaded the Assimil trial, but it's a pretty short peek, and the cost of the software is a bit pricey for a time limited subscription - around €50.

Hi Em Ma

For my part, the best method. Two essential conditions :

- learn everyday

-begin to practice conversation exchange from the first month.

Right now, i"m beginning to learn portuguese.

Anecdotally, during ww ll, my father learned German and Russian with this method. Granny sent the books by red cross parcels to the prison camp. Language partners were 'work colleagues'.

This is actually a very old method, 1929. Of course, updated!
