From my point of view of my place few people have a proper marriage with religious celebration or any celebration at all, most of the people just say that are going to live with someone and go...

So, it's up to each girl and not to their parents to decide... at least from what I can see...

In America yes they can and do (sometimes unfortunately haha)

Wow, young hearts always believe that with love they can conquer every corner. Sure we have such lovely souls in China. Neither money nor possessions guarantee happiness and starting out with very little can make a marriage more of an adventure but it is a personal decision in the end.
