The Orchid or the Flower of May was declared the national flower on he 23rd of May, 1951. The Orchid family is one of the biggest families of the vegetables kingdom, in has approximately 30.000 species and the biggestvariety is found in South America.

This orchid is purple, one of the secondary colors.

The Troupial is the national bird of Venezuela. Its song is heard at daybreak, it lives in pares and feeds on insects and fruit.

Look at the lovely feathers. Black and yellow, black is a neutral color.
