What does 来 mean in this sentence?

你好

I've learnt that the following sentence means "He wants a book to read":

他想找本书来读

I know the most basic meanings of all the individual words in this sentence, but I don't know what the word 来 means in this sentence and how it fits here. 来 means come in English, and according to Pleco it is also used in place of other verbs... It can also mean "here", maybe that is the sense used here? :/

谢谢 Cecilia :) Could somebody translate her explanation? :) I'm mainly learning Chinese characters/words/sentences via Dushu, a Chinese app that uses flashcards, exercises and stories to teach Mandarin... I've just started learning the HSK 2 characters and vocabulary, so I don't understand that much yet :)
