What qualities should a good community tutor have?

I'm writing an article about it and I think it would be interesting and useful to read what students on Italki think on this.

Patient, friendly and cheerful. Nobody wants a stoic or a cranky teacher

Hi Cecilia, that's a great question! For me, the most important quality of a tutor is their ability to lead a discussion. I expect a good tutor to be supportive and enthusiastic.
