Maybe many people don’t learn English because they genuinely want to but because they have to (for work or study), so learning English isn’t regarded as fun but a chore.

As an english student I want to tell you this, we ( english language students) get bored / upset / disappointed when we realize that english is not as easy to learn as we thought, I know that because There are days in which I feel like that, It's frustrating when we feel stucked in addition we should be aware about something, there are a lot of non-serious students when it comes to learing a language, for your mental health, I think you should not pay attention to it

Mostly I was not excited about learning English when i was a student. Because i used to be learned grammar only. I even didn't have chance to listen to a native speaker sound until i went to college. But now i'm learning it by myself and i'm happy.

It is important to maintain enthusiasm as a teacher and to be the captain of the ship. Most students are not motivated but you have to show them that this job is your passion then you can change how people think about the language.
