A question for native speakers 'Buen provecho'
Is it true that the phrase 'buen provecho' is only used by the waiters when they serve the food to the guests? Is there any person with a different role say that phrase too? Do people in Spanish -speaking countries say that phrase in their family before eating?

Hola Christian, yo nunca había escuchado que esta frase solo está reservada a los camareros. De hecho, normalmente al inicio de la comida, se suele decir entre todos: amigos, familiares... o incluso si tú no estás comiendo, peor ves a alguien conocido que acaba de comenzar. Se suele decir "que aproveche" o como bien tu dices, "buen provecho".

Hello in Mexico all the people say "buen provecho" when someone is going to start eating, It Is not only for the waiters, this phrase is very common, and It's of good manners.
